Getting an offer from the in-state program you grew up rooting for is not something many high school football players get to experience. But that’s exactly the scenario Kansas City-area wide receiver Dominic Gicinto found himself in with Missouri.
Understandably, Gicinto did not wait long to jump on that offer, and tweeted out his commitment to Barry Odom’s program on Sunday afternoon:
Thank you for having me down this weekend 🐯 I was blessed to receive an offer from the university of Missouri 🙏🏾 and i will be furthering my academic and football career at the university of Missouri #showme18 ✅ pic.twitter.com/boxnRDIAZ7

Gicinto’s offer list is unlikely to wow Missouri fans — his next-best offer is from Memphis — but Missouri has historically had quite a bit of success with prospects like this in the past (see: Harris, Charles).
Gicinto is a 5’9, 170-pound receiver who is likely to try and find his way onto the field from the Tigers’ slot position.
