Michael Porter Jr. is back, Missouri fans. Finally.
The wait for Porter’s return ended Thursday, when the much-hyped freshman player returned to action for the first time since the Tigers’ season-opening victory against Iowa State on Nov. 10. He appeared early in the first half against Georgia in the second round of the SEC Tournament in St. Louis.
Porter was kept off the court most of the season because of a back injury. He had surgery, and on Wednesday, Missouri coach Cuonzo Martin confirmed Porter would return against the Bulldogs.
