The secret is long out of the bottle at this point. Cuonzo Martin is going to be the next head coach at the University of Missouri.
And while we all knew that by now, it was mostly coming from reporters and other people close to the program. What was missing was official confirmation from Mizzou itself. But for those Tigers fans who lived through the Matt Painter fiasco in 2011, fear not. Martin’s hiring has been officially confirmed by the school:

Martin comes to Missouri from California, where he was the head coach for three seasons, made the NCAA Tournament once, and signed some stellar recruiting classes. He had previous been the head coach for the University of Tennessee and Missouri State. He is a local product, having been born and raised in East St. Louis, Ill.
