Pinson joins Mizzou by way of Simeon High School in Chicago. Listed at 6-foot-2, he’s a 3-star point guard prospect according to 247Sports composite rankings. The same service rates him as the No. 64 point guard in the class and the No. 372 overall player.
Missouri only has one other player in its 2018 class: 4-star shooting guard Torrence Watson from St. Louis.
The Tigers are still in on a number of players in the 2018 class, including top-50 point guard Courtney Ramey. Mizzou lost several big pieces, including Michael Porter Jr., to the NBA or graduation. Porter Jr.’s younger brother, Jontay, has also declared for the NBA draft but has not hired an agent.
The spring signing period will remain open until May 16.
