Tate spent one year with Kim English’s staff in Columbia. He played for Missouri from 1994-97. Tate is originally from the St. Louis area and his family continued to reside in St. Louis even though he coached in Columbia.
The Tigers struggled last year, finishing 10-21 and 3-15 in the SEC.
