Missouri continues to reach into the Lone Star State to fill out its 2018 class.
The Tigers got a commitment from 6-foot-7, 300-pound Mike Ruth from Coppell, Texas. Ruth, a 3-star prospect rated as the No. 96 offensive tackle in the cycle, is Mizzou’s first OL pledge for 2018.
He announced his commitment through social media on Wednesday afternoon.

Missouri now has 12 commitments, half of which are from the state of Texas. The team secured its only 4-star prospect on Sunday with ILB Chad Bailey, a Missouri City, Texas product.
Ruth is the second commitment of the day for Missouri, joining 3-star OLB La’Dedrick Jackson. Meanwhile, seven of the team’s 12 commitments have come in the last five days.
Ruth also received Power 5 offers from Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas State, Miami, Syracuse, Texas Tech and Vanderbilt.
