Missouri’s 2018 recruiting class had gotten off to a slow start as we head into fall camp. And then Friday happened.
First, the Tigers got a commitment a commitment from linebacker Cameron Wilkins on Friday morning. But they were just getting started. Only a few hours later, the Tigers landed another commit, this time from cornerback Vincent Gray:
— Vincent Gray (@VinceGray_) July 21, 2017
According to 247Sports, Gray is a three-star corner from Rochester, Mich. He is choosing Mizzou over several Power 5 offers, including Iowa State, Kentucky, Virginia, and others. At 6’2, he’ll immediately become one of the SEC’s biggest players at the cornerback position as soon as he sets foot on campus.
Though Gray’s commitment is unrelated, this figures to be a big recruiting weekend for Barry Odom and the Tigers. Mizzou is hosting their annual Night at the Zou camp, and multiple commitments from the event would not be a surprise. Regardless, having Gray on board is quite the start.
