This is not what Missouri head coach Barry Odom and the Tigers needed to hear before National Signing Day. Even if it comes from a 2018 recruit.
Louisiana defensive end Josh Smith, a 6-foot-4 2018 defensive end, took to Twitter to announce that he was de-committing from the Tigers. He is the No. 27 defensive end in the 2018 class and a 3-star recruit.

Smith was the Tigers’ only 2018 commitment. As for the Class of 2017, Missouri sits at No. 42 in 247Sports’ composite rankings, which ranks 12th among SEC teams.
Signing day for the 2017 class is less than two weeks away, as commits can begin signing letters of intent on Feb 1.
