Gametime Announcement

LSU vs. Missouri

The TV networks announced the kickoff time for the SEC’s Oct. 1 games Monday, including Missouri’s first conference game at LSU.

Missouri (1-2, 0-1 SEC) will kick off its game against No. 18 LSU at 7:30 p.m. ET on Oct. 1 in Baton Rouge, La. SEC Network will broadcast the game.

The game should feature a clash of opposites. Missouri ranks second in the conference in total offense through three weeks, and boasts the league’s passing leader. QB Drew Lock is averaging 368.7 passing yards per game, 50 yards more than the No. 2 quarterback, Chad Kelly of Ole Miss. There’s a good chance Lock will increase that average, too, as Missouri hosts FCS Delaware State this week.

LSU, however, ranks fourth in total defense in the SEC and has allowed just 2 passing touchdowns through three games.

Auburn is the only other SEC West team Missouri has yet to face in the regular season since joining the league in 2012, although the two teams met in the 2013 SEC championship game. Missouri will host in Auburn in 2017.
