The recruiting season is in full swing, and one Missouri player suggested that Notre Dame might be up to something sinister when it comes to recruiting their players.
Missouri defensive end Marcell Frazier took to Twitter shortly after wide receiver Jafar Armstrong de-committed from the Tigers. Armstrong was on a visit to Notre Dame this weekend, and many experts expect the wide receiver to ultimately pick the Fighting Irish.
But Frazier suggested that there’s another reason Armstrong backed off his commitment to the Tigers.
Frazier played in 12 games for the Tigers this past season and finished with 33 tackles and 8.5 tackles for loss.
Notre Dame had to vacate all of its wins from the 2012 and 2013 seasons due to an academic misconduct case back in November.
Armstrong was the Tigers’ second highest ranked recruit for the 2017 cycle and Missouri now has 21 commits/signees. National Signing Day is on Wednesday.
