Offensive lineman seemingly never get any love, but ‘Boneyard’ helped the Mizzou big men get some love. And for that, he’ll always be remembered.
The Tigers offensive unit adopted a pet fish named ‘Boneyard’ for the 2016 season in an attempt to get some face time on the video board during a halftime segment at Faurot Field, but it appears it was a bond that went beyond that 15-seconds of fame.
The fish earned his own parody twitter account that was managed by the team’s offensive lineman. From time to time, he’d share some pretty funny thoughts.

But all good things must come to an end, and it appears that time has come for Boneyard.
On Wednesday, Mizzou offensive lineman Paul Adams tweeted the bad news– the fish has passed away. Adams wrote “The @MizzouFootball family lost a great one today… Welcome home, @__boneyard #GoneButNeverForgotten”
