Missouri players carry coach Gary Pinkel off the field in final home game
The final home game of Gary Pinkel’s career at Missouri did not go as planned, but two offensive linemen helped create an unforgettable memory for the school’s all-time winningest coach.
Missouri lost 19-8 to Tennessee on Saturday, but seniors Connor McGovern and Evan Boehm carried Pinkel off the field before embracing their beloved coach after letting him down. Pinkel announced before a win last weekend against BYU that this will be his last season because he wants to focus on his battle with lymphoma, and it was an emotional day at Farout Field.

Pinkel on being carried off the field: "I love those guys." Very disappointed with the loss.
