The Missouri offense finally enjoyed a big, breakout day on Saturday in a 61-21 win over Eastern Michigan.
Okay, Okay. Sure, it’s only Eastern Michigan, but let’s put this in perspective. The Missouri offense scored only 15 touchdowns all of last season. The Tigers scored seven offensive touchdowns on Saturday. Yep, that’s a little less than half of last year’s total scoring in one day.
Quarterback Drew Lock played in all 12 games in 2015 and was the starter in the latter half of the season. He threw a total of four touchdown passes in 263 passing attempts and threw for 1,332 yards. Yet, there he was Saturday throwing for 450 yards and five touchdowns.
Lock played so well. He even got some attention from one of the best players in Missouri history.
