Missouri quarterback Drew Lock doesn’t know his kicker that well.
After Lock and Missouri defeated Vanderbilt 26-17 on Saturday for the Tigers’ first SEC win in more than a year, Lock was asked about kicker Ben Tesson, who stepped in for the Tigers in the fourth quarter after starting kicker Tucker McCann missed two PATs and two field goals — one from 21 yards out.
But Lock, who completed 22-of-37 passes for 294 yards and 2 touchdowns, didn’t seem to know anything about Tesson.

“I did not know he was a transfer from Drake, but I do know who Tesson is,” Lock said. “Tesson works his butt off in here. He’s one of those guys, we know who he is, but not a lot of people outside of here know who he is. Tesson’s a real cool guy, but actually I didn’t know that he was the one who kicked that. … He came in and drilled it, so good for him. I’m happy for him.”
