Missouri will complete its recruiting class today during National Signing Day, bringing a tumultuous final few weeks of this year’s cycle to a close. The program is on track to sign 20 players for the Class of 2017 today, bringing the grand total of newcomers to 23.
Below is a list of each Missouri commit in its 2017 class, including their positional ranking, star rating, hometown and more. It’s unlikely the Tigers add any more players on signing day, but should a wide receiver become available, they could pounce on that position of need.
Until Wednesday, any non-early enrollees had just been verbally committed, but will send in their paperwork to officially sign throughout the morning.
The headliner of Missouri’s class is Da’Ron Davis, a 3-star athlete that should player receiver at the collegiate level. He’s a longtime pledge, having committed to the Tigers back in the fall of 2015.

Missouri National Signing Day storylines, preview
It’s unusual for a school to have so many players shuffling on and off the commitment list this close to Signing Day, but some late interest by other schools forced the coaching staff into adjusting on the fly.
The Tigers usually make a little more hay inside their home state, but Davis is the lone Missouri native in this recruiting class.
So, while the star ratings might not be what some fans would like to see, it’s not a bad group when you consider the school had to cast its net a bit wider than usual to offset a down year in-state for top-level prospects.
Here are a couple of other things to watch today.
- Will there be a late push to snare another receiver? — With the recent losses of Elijah Gardner (Ohio State) and Jafar Armstrong (Notre Dame), Davis and the newly committed O’Shae Clark are the only wide receivers in the group of pledges. Strange things happen sometimes on National Signing Day, and players occasionally become available.
- How does Barry Odom’s first full class compare to recent years? — Right now, this class ranks 48th nationally and 12th in the SEC in the 247Sports composite rankings. In 2016, the Tigers were 43rd overall and 13th in the league. The year before, they ranked 25th nationally and 12th in the conference.
