A coveted quarterback prospect who committed to Missouri has received an invite to the Elite 11 finals in California.
James Foster, a 3-star recruit from Montgomery, Ala., gained an invitation to the event. He is 6-foot-3, 210 pounds and the No. 349 overall prospect for the 2018 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He’s also ranked as the No. 13 dual-threat quarterback for his class and the No. 13 player in Alabama.
Foster’s commitment is a strong development for Missouri. He chose the Tigers over Alabama, Georgia, Illinois and Arizona, among others.
Missouri went 4-8 last season, its first under coach Barry Odom. The Tigers didn’t appear in bowl games the past two seasons.
