Missouri earned border bragging rights Saturday.
Sure, the once-heated Missouri-Kansas rivalry is dormant. But Tigers fans who still despise the Jayhawks can continue to laugh at how far Kansas football has fallen.
With Missouri’s 26-17 victory against Vanderbilt at Faurot Field, the Tigers snapped an 11-game losing streak in the SEC, earning their first league win since topping South Carolina on Oct. 3, 2015.

Unfortunately for Kansas fans — if such people exist anymore — the Jayhawks remain a hot mess.
On Saturday, Kansas lost to Iowa State 31-24 to drop to 1-9 overall and 0-7 in the Big 12. The Jayhawks have been on the losing end of 19 consecutive conference games, with their most recent Big 12 victory a triumph over the Cyclones on Nov. 8, 2014.
That’s an unbelievable string of futility. (Well, if you’ve watched Kansas football lately, perhaps not.) Long gone are the days when the Jayhawks were competitive under former coach Mark Mangino. Remember when Kansas snuck into the Orange Bowl during the 2007 season?
The Missouri-Kansas rivalry ended when the Tigers moved to the SEC starting in the 2012 season. But that doesn’t mean Tigers fans can’t point a collective figure west and chuckle.
