There are few prospects in the 2018 class that Missouri wants more than 4-star DT Michael Thompson. And now there’s a clear timeline for when he will make his choice.
Thompson announced Monday evening he will commit on National Signing Day, Feb. 7, and will announce his top two schools later this week.
Committing Feb 7th will be posting top 2 later this week stay tuned❗️❗️❗️

Thompson’s recruitment looks like a battle between his hometown Tigers and Oklahoma. The Sooners began recruiting Thompson heavily within the last couple weeks and he is fresh off an official visit to Norman.
The Tigers have a couple advantages here in proximity (Thompson attends Parkway North High School in St. Louis) and the fact that they have been recruiting him for much longer than OU. However, the Sooners are a blue blood with a more established program. To make matters tougher for the Tigers, fellow St. Louis prospect Ronnie Perkins is already a part of Oklahoma’s 2018 recruiting class.
According to 247Sports Composite rankings, Thompson is the No. 69 overall player and the No. 3 overall defensive tackle in the 2018 class. Thompson would be, by far, the best player in Mizzou’s 2018 class as the Tigers do not currently hold a commitment from a 4-star prospect.
Missouri still looks like the favorite, but Oklahoma is the biggest threat to this point. Thompson will officially announce his top two schools later this week.
