We learned earlier this week that Missouri WR Nate Brown, the team’s leading receiver from 2015, would miss 6-8 weeks with a high ankle sprain.
We found out on Friday that he could return sooner than that.
Tigers coach Barry Odom told reporters that Brown had surgery on his ankle, and that could speed his return to the field.
Brown had 326 yards receiving with a team-high four touchdowns last year. The Tigers are looking for more production after averaging an SEC-worst 13.6 points per game last year.
