It’s not often that fans boo a field goal kicker BEFORE he misses a field goal.
But Mizzou fans have had enough.
Before the Tigers’ kicker Tucker McCann missed a 21-yard field goal in the third quarter of Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt — his fourth miss of the day — fans were already booing him.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a field goal attempt booed BEFORE it was missed.

It’s not like Mizzou fans aren’t justified for feeling frustrated either. Outside of a missed long field goal at the end of the first half, McCann’s misses have come on two extra points and the 21-yarder.
Saturday is just a continuation of the struggles McCann and Missouri (2-7) have faced this season. Entering the Vanderbilt game, McCann was just 5-of-9 on the season, with three of those misses coming from less than 30 yards out.
After he missed the 21-yarder Saturday, Twitter wasn’t so kind to him, with some even saying that his kicks were running more wild than the bald eagle that went rogue during the halftime show.
Don't know what's running more wild, Tucker McCann's kicks or the bald eagle. #Mizzou

The Tucker McCann show ladies and gentleman. He has to be trying to miss these. No other explanation. Botches a 21-yd FG.

college kickers are doing a wail of a job in COMO….smh

McCann misses a 21-yard FG. At this point, they just have to stop using him.

McCann misses from 21. WOW. That, and two missed PATs. I’ve seen worse kicking games, maybe, but they were by high school teams.

fans booed Tucker McCann more as he walked on the field than they did after he missed. His presence offends them more than his performance.
