Missouri athletic director Mack Rhoades is reportedly interviewing outside candidates to replace Gary Pinkel, but one in-house option is getting a serious look.
Defensive coordinator Barry Odom is getting a second interview for the heading coaching position, Alex Marvez of Fox Sports reported Saturday night.
A pair of other candidates, Toledo coach Matt Campbell and Temple coach Matt Rhule, were also reported to be having interviews with Rhoades this weekend. Campbell might be off the market, because he reportedly will be the next coach at Iowa State.
Pinkel likely coached his final game Friday when Missouri lost to Arkansas to finish the regular season 5-7. He announced his intention to resign to focus on battling non-Hodgkin lymphoma earlier this month.
