Missouri has suspended quarterback Maty Mauk indefinitely, according to a report from Kansas City.com’s Tod Palmer.
According to Palmer, Mauk’s suspension was prompted by a controversial video that surfaced on social media on Monday night.
“We are currently gathering information regarding the video in question,” Missouri football coach Barry Odom and athletic director Mack Rhoades said in a joint statement according to Palmer. “This is an issue we take very seriously and one that will not be tolerated within our program. We will take appropriate action once we have all the facts.”
Mauk was originally suspended in September for a violation of team policies and was eventually suspended for the remainder of the season a month later. The junior threw for 654 yards, six touchdowns and four interceptions in four games for the Tigers this season.
