Report: One of Missouri’s top coaching target accepts job at Iowa State
It looks like Missouri will not hire a second straight head coach from Toledo.
Matt Campbell, who went 35-15 in four-plus years at Toledo and was reported to be a top candidate to replace Gary Pinkel at Missouri, will be the next head coach at Iowa State.

There was a report earlier in the day Saturday that Campbell, 35, and Temple coach Matt Rhule would interview with Missouri athletic director Mack Rhoades.
Pinkel came to Missouri from Toledo in 2001, and then became the winningest coach in school history. He led the team to five 10-win seasons. Toledo has won at least nine games in three of the four seasons Campbell has been in charge.
