Ah, Mondays. A time to recognize the SEC’s best from the weekend.
You might think the Tigers’ 79-0 pasting of terrible FCS creampuff Delaware State on Saturday would have produced at least one SEC player of the week. You would be wrong.
As pointed out by Tod Palmer of The Kansas City Star, the SEC ignored the Tigers’ stomp job of an overmatched opponent when dishing out the kudos from Week 4. You can view all the winners here, but you won’t find any Mizzou men listed.
Apparently, beating Delaware State — even 79-0 — was not deemed impressive. https://t.co/hCaHzxyIsh

You can make the argument for a few names. Quarterback Drew Lock threw for 402 yards with five — five! — touchdown passes. Running back Damarea Crockett had 115 yards on 12 carries with two touchdowns.
Perhaps this is the SEC’s way of saying, “Play someone better.”
