It’s been a difficult season for Missouri and the rebuild didn’t get much easier on Tuesday, when Tigers coach Kim Anderson said sophomore guards Namon Wright and Tramaine Isabell plan to transfer.
“We appreciate what both Tramaine and Namon contributed during their time with the program and wish them the best as they continue to pursue their academic and athletic goals,” Anderson said in a statement.
Wright was Missouri’s third-leading scorer, averaging 9.6 points and 5.2 rebounds in 26.5 minutes per game this season. Tramaine averaged 6.2 points in 16.3 minutes per game.
Wright and Isabell’s decisions come a month after Mizzou dismissed its second-leading scorer, Wes Clark, from the program. The Tigers finished the year 10-21 and in last place in the SEC. The program also self-imposed a postseason ban after a slew of NCAA violations came to light earlier in the season.
