Mizzou has already shown it can complete in the SEC by winning SEC East championships, but when compared against the facilities of programs like LSU and Alabama, it didn’t hold up.
When that happens, it can be the difference between getting a recruit to sign or having him go elsewhere. The Tigers should have a much better chance at landing those top-tier prospects after unveiling their new south endzone plans with a walkthrough video on Wednesday.

The project at Faurot Field is scheduled to be completed by 2019. Among the highlights are a huge hydrotherapy area, new team meeting room, a new weight room and a big lobby.
The video also showcases Tigers of the past including Brad Smith and Blaine Gabbert, who players will see as they enter the new lockerroom. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the facility is the fans at field level having the ability to high-five players as they come out of the tunnel.
The entire football program will also move its facilities to the building. While Mizzou lost their bowl game, the Tigers had previously won six straight games. If they can build on that and have a better season with Drew Lock’s experience, Mizzou could be looking toward a bright future with its new facilities added into the fold.
