Ole Miss has remained scorching hot on the recruiting trail under head coach Pete Golding.
The momentum continued on Wednesday as four-star offensive tackle Antonio Berry announced his commitment to the Rebels. He committed to Ole Miss over Colorado, Alabama, Florida, and Kentucky.
“Happy birthday to me! Ole Miss, I’m home,” Berry posted on social media.
Berry is the No. 32 overall prospect and No. 5 offensive lineman in the class of 2027, according to Rivals. The 6-foot-5, 300-pound Tupelo standout also ranks as the No. 1 prospect in the state of Mississippi.
Berry earned first-team All-State honors as a junior at Tupelo High School. He’s continued to climb through the recruiting rankings this offseason with dominant performances along the camp circuit. He earned an invite to the Under Armour All-American game after being named MVP at the Rivals Elite Camp in Nashville.
It’s another massive in-state recruiting win for Golding and his staff. Following Berry’s commitment, the Rebels now hold commitments from the Top 3 prospects in the state of Mississippi. Berry joins 4-star defensive linemen Mitchell Turner and Ben’Jarvius Shumaker as highly-touted in-state commits in the Rebels’ 2027 class.
The 2027 recruiting class for Ole Miss jumps to No. 15 nationally, which is good for 8th in the SEC, according to Rivals. The Rebels sit at 18 commits entering the dead period, with 22% of those commits coming from Mississippi. It’s clear that Golding is focused on winning the state in recruiting, which usually leads to success on the field.
