Although National Signing Day for the Class of 2016 is in the rear-view mirror, LSU fans continue to wait on one potential signee.
Three-star pass-rusher Sci Martin is still weighing his college decision, but could make it as early as next week, his coach told SEC Country,
Martin is considering LSU, Alabama and TCU, and opted not to sign his letter of intent earlier this month on signing day to give further thought to his future.
A week after signing day, the 6-foot-4, 230-pound sack artist told SEC Country that both LSU and Alabama had come on strong over the final month of his recruitment to force him not to sign with TCU.
“Those visits,” Martin said. “Being close to home and the tradition of the program (LSU). But also, I’m still feeling Alabama.”
Both LSU coach Les Miles and Alabama coach Nick Saban visited Martin at McDonogh 35 High School in New Orleans in January after the defensive lineman took official visits to both SEC powers.
Martin is rated as nation’s No. 34 weakside defensive end and the No. 26 prospect in the 2016 recruiting class, per the 247Sports Composite.
