MOBILE, Ala. — Two SEC players are done with Senior Bowl football activities after suffering injuries on the first day of practice.
Florida tight end Jake McGee (hamstring) and Missouri offensive lineman Connor McGovern (hamstring) are out. McGee will stick around to finish his NFL interviews this week, while McGovern has left Mobile completely.
The Tigers tackle had hoped to prove he has the tools to play guard and center in the NFL.
CBSSports.com projects McGovern as a seventh-round pick, and McGee as a sixth-rounder. The transfer from Virginia caught 112 career passes for 1,150 yards and 11 touchdowns as a Cavalier and Gator.
