Alabama may have lost the College Football Playoff national title game last season, but the Crimson Tide is still the team to beat according to the latest CFP odds.
Westgate’s Las Vegas superbook released its latest national title odds on Monday, and the Crimson Tide held firm as the most likely college football team to hoist the trophy at the end of the 2017 season.
Alabama maintained its listing as the favorite at 7-to-2, followed by Florida State, Ohio State and USC all at 7-to-1. Alabama opened at 4-to-1 for the title, but moved to 7-to-2 in a February update of the odds.
LSU checkes in at 15-to-1 alongside defending national champion Clemson, which lost Deshaun Watson to the NFL Draft. Auburn is the next SEC team on the board at 20-to-1, which is the same odds shared by Penn State and Texas. Both LSU and Auburn held steady in the latest odds.
Georgia checks in at 30-to-1, which is slightly up from the 30-to-1 the Bulldogs opened at after the national title game in January.
