On Monday, the best women’s gymnastics squads and individual performers in the country will earn the reward they’ve been waiting for all season: A chance to compete for the 2017 NCAA Gymnastics Championships.
We’ll find out which schools and athletes will get their shot this afternoon during the championships selection show. The NCAA will announce the 36 regional teams, as well as 24 all-around competitors and 48 individual specialists whom are not on a regional-qualifying team.

Which SEC teams should qualify for regionals in the 2017 NCAA Gymnastics Championships?
Eight SEC teams have one of the country’s top 36 regional-qualifying scores (RQS) following last weekend’s SEC championships, according to roadtonationals.com. They are:
- No. 2 LSU (197.865 RQS)
- No. 3 Florida (197.635)
- No. 6 Alabama (197.355)
- No. 10 Georgia (197.005)
- No. 12 Kentucky (196.845)
- No. 15 Missouri (196.540)
- No. 21 Auburn (196.265)

2017 NCAA Gymnastics Championships schedule
April 1: Regionals held at six sites: Fayetteville, Ark., Gainesville, Fla., Urbana-Champaign, Ill., Lincoln, Neb., Morgantown, W. Va., and Seattle. Of the 36 regionals teams, 12 will advance to the national championships along with the top 12 all-around competitors and event specialists.
April 14: Semifinals session No. 1 takes place at 1 p.m. ET (ESPN2).
April 14: Semifinals session No. 2 takes place at 8 p.m. ET (ESPNU).
April 15: Super Six team championship takes place at 9 p.m. ET (ESPNU)
