The opening weekend of the 2017 NCAA Tournament came to a dramatic ending when South Carolina stunned Duke on Sunday night. And it’s making people do some pretty wild things.
Count CBS Sports, which broadcasts the tournament, among those that got a little crazy on Sunday evening. The folks that run the CBSSports.com Twitter account sent out a nice little graphic that highlighted the teams that advanced the the Sweet 16 over the weekend.
The piece had the mascots from 15 of the schools, and the football coach serving as a mascot for the 16th.
“Dancing Jim Harbaugh” made an appearance in the graphic as Michigan’s “unofficial mascot” alongside greats like Cocky and Albert. Check it out:

And yes, in case you were wondering, that blue blob is an alternate mascot for the Xavier Musketeers.
SEC fans will be proud to count three of their mascots in that short video, as Florida, Kentucky and South Carolina each advanced out of the tournament’s first weekend. Three Big Ten teams– Wisconsin, Purdue and Michigan– can make that claim, but just North Carolina emerged from the mighty ACC.
The Dancing Harbaughs– err, Wolverines– will play against Oregon for a chance to go to the Elite 8. Meanwhile, Florida draws Big Ten opponent Wisconsin, Kentucky will face UCLA and South Carolina takes on Baylor.
Still plenty of reason for SEC fans to stay glued to the 2017 NCAA Tournament next weekend. Good times.
