2017 NCAA Tournament betting lines: Preview, best bets
The Big Ten, after losing Minnesota and Maryland on Thursday, will have two underdogs and one team involved in a pick-em game. Look for Purdue to advance and for Northwestern will cover the 11-point spread against Villanova, although the Wildcats and Wisconsin will both go home.
Florida has a chip on its shoulder because of perceived disrespect. The 1.5-point line shouldn’t be enough to deter fans from giving it up, although you can take the -130 money line if you don’t feel like sweating out an ending like whoever had Michigan and gave 2.5 points on Friday, only to lose the bet at the buzzer on an otherwise meaningless Oklahoma State 3-pointer.
But the best bet is Butler. Middle Tennessee State is a nice story, but the reality is they beat an undermanned Minnesota team and aren’t battle tested enough to climb two hurdles this year. You can feel comfortable taking the Bulldogs and giving up four points.
