Lists are all the rage these days among college football recruits. But while most prospects are narrowing their suitors to 10, Max Wright, a 4-star defensive end from Katy, Texas, went with one more spot, whittling his to a top 11.
Best to keep the options open.

He offered the standard bit, writing:
“It is an extreme blessing and honor to be recruited by so many, and I thank all the coaches for the effort to reach out to me. I have so many to thank, and I don’t know where to begin, my mother and father have always been there for me, and I wouldn’t be where I am without them.”
As for the list itself, it came in alphabetical order, so which schools that interest Wright most remain anybody’s guess. Six of the top 11 hail from the SEC: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss and Texas A&M. Wright also added Stanford, Michigan, Oklahoma, TCU and Texas.
Wright is the No. 84 recruit in the country and the No. 9 player in the state of Texas, per the 247Sports composite rankings. His offer sheet also includes as Arkansas, Houston, Miami (Fla.), Notre Dame, Ohio State, Southern Cal and Washington.
