There will be 3 SEC coaches who will attend the 2017 NFL Draft in Philadelphia.
As relayed by ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter on Thursday, Alabama’s Nick Saban, Tennessee’s Butch Jones and LSU’s Ed Orgeron will attend the event, which starts on April 27. Earlier in the day, it was announced that 6 SEC prospects will attend the NFL Draft to participate in pre-draft activities and the green-room viewing experience.

As you can see, the SEC has a quality showing. Saban, Jones and Orgeron all coached highly touted prospects who are expected to go early in the NFL Draft, so it makes sense that all 3 would make the trek to the City of Brotherly Love.
Any player who is taken early will represent a quality selling point for each coach’s program. Elite talent views college football as a stepping stone toward the NFL. And what better way to show that dreams can come true by attending Alabama, Tennessee or LSU than by being there when players take their first step into a professional career?
It will be fun to see how the SEC fares in the upcoming draft. Expect many big names to go off the board fast.
