It was another great week for a couple of SEC defenders, at least according to Pro Football Focus.
Alabama’s Jonathan Allen, South Carolina defensive back Jamarcus King and Arkansas kicker Adam Mcfain all made Pro Football Focus‘ national Team of the Week.
Allen had the second highest grade of any defensive player, finishing with a 94.7. Allen had a sack, a fumble return for a touchdown and seven pressures on 33 rushing situations. It’s another accolade for the Alabama defensive tackle, as he was also named the Lott IMPACT Player of the week.
King had a great day as he hauled in two interceptions for the Gamecocks in their 34-28 win over UMass. King was targeted five times on the day and did not allow a single completion.
McFain hit a 54-yard field goal before halftime to give the Razorbacks their only points of the game. Arkansas fell 56-3.
