If LSU is going to nab a commitment from Deontay Anderson, it will be after an official visit.
The 4-star safety will choose LSU, Ole Miss or Texas on National Signing Day after taking official visits to all those schools, according to NOLA.com’s Andrew Lopez.
Anderson has plans to visit Texas on Jan. 15, LSU on Jan. 22 and Ole Miss last on Jan. 29, according to Lopez.
The 6-foot-1, 192-pound safety called LSU “DBU,” but also said the Longhorns have that reputation, too. Anderson also mentioned that there is no logic behind the schedule of his official visits, per Lopez.
Anderson is the No. 8 player in the state of Texas and is rated as the nation’s No. 3 safety.
LSU has already secured commitments from four defensive backs, including safeties Eric Monroe and Cameron Lewis and cornerbacks Andraez Williams and Saivion Smith.
