One of Louisiana’s top prospects may have more pressing matters on his mind outside of his recruitment.
Devin White, a 4-star running back who has reported offers from 11 SEC schools, has been arrested on sex charges of carnal knowledge of a juvenile, according to The Shreveport Times’ Luke Thompson.
White, 17, is accused of having sex with a 14-year-old. White is facing misdemeanor charges because he is less than four years older than the victim.
Police said the sex was consensual. White was released on $1,000 bond.
White is rated the No. 8 prospect in Louisiana and the No. 9 player at his position in the country. The North Webster (Spring Hill, La.) product’s offers include LSU, Ole Miss, Alabama, Arkansas, UGA, Auburn, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Florida and Vanderbilt, among others.
