Ja’Marr Chase has settled on his top three schools: LSU, TCU and Tennessee.
The 4-star receiver from Metairie, La., announced his top schools on Twitter on Thursday. He is ranked as the No. 5 overall player in Louisiana and the No. 38 wideout in the country.

Chase has seen his recruitment explode this spring, and he now holds more than 30 offers. He is expected to commit shortly before the start of his senior season at Archbishop Rummel.
LSU would love to keep Chase close to home. While he’s waiting to see how the Tigers’ new offense looks under Matt Canada, the home-state connection may give the Tigers an edge.
“They’re the hometown school,” Chase told SEC Country’s Sam Spiegelman. “I’ve always wanted to play there. I’ve always watched them. I’m not saying that I’m going there, but it’s just a place that I’ve always seen and I like it.”
However, the Tigers will likely only take three more receivers for their 2018 class. LSU is currently the favorite landing spot for Chase, in addition to 5-star WR Terrace Marshall Jr. and 4-star WR Lawrence Keys III.
Tennessee has just one wide receiver committed for 2018, so the Vols may have more room in their class for Chase than LSU.
Meanwhile, TCU just landed 4-star QB Justin Rogers on Wednesday. After he committed, Rogers said he’ll be trying to recruit both Chase and Marshall to come with him to Fort Worth, Texas.
Chase previously committed to Kansas in Feb. 4, but re-opened his recruitment less than two weeks later. He is the third-ranked receiver in the state, behind Marshall and 4-star WR Devonta Jason.
