There’s a new team at the top of ESPN’s Football Power Index rankings this week.
Oklahoma, who defeated Tulane to 56-14 on Saturday to go to 3-0, comes in at No. 1, while the Ohio State Buckeyes, who were defeated by the Sooners last Saturday in Columbus, sit in second.
Alabama is the highest ranked SEC team, coming in at No. 4. Mississippi State, fresh off a 37-7 shellacking of LSU, moved all the way to No. 10.
Auburn (16), Georgia (17), and LSU (19) complete the list of conference teams in the top 20.
