TAMPA, Fla. — Alabama coach Nick Saban wasn’t looking to make any excuses after Clemson’s 35-31 win in the College Football Playoff title game on Monday night.
Saban did, however, admit that losing tailback Bo Scarbrough to injury in the third quarter was likely a factor after the bruising runner scored two touchdowns in the first half.
In the end, the Tide’s head coach said it came down to his team not making enough plays.
Here’s the postgame press conference with Saban and tight end O.J. Howard and Jonathan Allen after the game.
Allen said the Tide gives Deshaun Watson credit for his performance in the game.
