Alabama QB Jake Coker on Ole Miss: “They wouldn’t want to play us again”
Jake Coker plays the biggest game of his career on Saturday night. But the Alabama quarterback recently allowed his mind to wander from LSU to a September loss against Ole Miss.
“They wouldn’t want to play us again,” Coker told CBSSports.com‘s Dennis Dodd. “I think everybody here wishes that [a rematch] could happen.”
The Crimson Tide fell to the Rebels in a wild September shootout. It was the only game Coker has not started this season, and — infer what you will — the only game Alabama has lost.
“They’re a good team,” Coker said, “but we shouldn’t have played the way we played.”
Ole Miss still holds the West tiebreaker over No. 4 Alabama, which needs to beat No. 2 LSU in Tuscaloosa on Saturday night to have any chance at a division title.
