Alabama RB recruit tells Nick Saban no thanks
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Gators might have lost to Alabama in the SEC Championship, but they’re getting it done against the Tide on the recruiting trail this week.
Less than 24 hours removed from flipping the nation’s No. 1 junior college kicker from Alabama, the Gators got the best of Nick Saban again Wednesday.
Florida running back commit Lamical Perine announced that UF is the only school he’ll officially visit.
I would like to announce that I will not be taking any other officials besides Florida ???#ChompChomp

The 5-foot-11, 210-pounder from Theodore (Ala.) received an offer from Alabama in November and has been personally recruited by Saban since. Tide running backs coach Brian Burns had an in-home visit with Perine two weeks ago with hopes of convincing him to take an official visit to Tuscaloosa.
Perine told SEC Country he was considering the Alabama trip, but that’s no longer the case following his visit Sunday from Florida running backs coach Tim Skipper.
