No. 10 Alabama (5-1, 2-1 SEC) heads West this Saturday for a conference showdown with No. 9 Texas A&M (5-0, 2-0 SEC), and several recruits will be tuning in. SEC Country polled a handful of commits and targets from both programs for their prediction of this weekend’s much-anticipated contest.
Check them out below:
Tate Martell, QB, Bishop Gorman High School, Las Vegas, Nev. (committed to Texas A&M) — “Texas A&M will win by 14. We have a much better offense than Alabama.”
However, Martell’s prediction was in the minority:
Jeffery Simmons, DE, Noxubee County High School, Macon, Miss. (Undecided) — “I think Alabama comes out with the win, and the reason I say that is because I think Alabama is getting better game by game.”
Xavier McKinney, DB, Roswell High School, Roswell, Ga. (committed to Alabama) — “Alabama, 38-7. I have a lot of confidence in the offense and believe they can put up points. I believe the defense is unreal, but I think they’ll give up one score.”
Nigel Knott, CB, Germantown High School, Madison, Miss. (Undecided) — “I don’t know about a score, but I think it’ll be a win for Alabama.”
Miller Forristall, TE, Cartersville High School, Cartersville, Ga. (committed to Alabama) — “Alabama, 34-14. The offense plays well, Jake Coker throws the ball well and the defense is rock solid, as always.”
Leonard Warner, LB, Brookwood High School, Snellville, Ga. (Undecided) — “Alabama. I don’t think Texas A&M has anything for Derrick Henry and Alabama’s run game.”
Deangelo Gibbs, DB, Peachtree Ridge High School, Suwanee, Ga. (Undecided) — “I think Alabama is going to pull it out.”
Derrick Brown, DT, Lanier High School, Buford, Ga. (Undecided) — “No prediction.”
Jake Fromm, QB, Houston County High School, Warner Robins, Ga. (committed to Alabama) — “Alabama by 14. Jake Coker is going to play a great game and the defense will be dominant.”
Malik Herring, Mary Persons High School, Forsyth, Ga. (Undecided) — “35-21, Alabama.”
David Marshall, DE, Upson-Lee High School, Thomaston, Ga. (Undecided) — “Alabama is going to win if they play the same way they played against Arkansas and Georgia. It’s going to be 24-7.”
We’ll continue to add more predictions as they roll in. Stay tuned.
