Amway Coaches Poll: 5 SEC teams in the final Top 25 of 2016 season

Alabama fell to Clemson in Monday night’s College Football Playoff national title game. And on Tuesday, the final edition on the Amway Coaches Poll acknowledged that the Crimson Tide were no longer the kings of college football.

Clemson grabbed the top spot for the 2016 season, with Alabama settling in at No. 2 receiving 1,440 points.

Florida checked in as the second-best SEC team at No. 13 after a convincing Outback Bowl win against Iowa. The Gators were followed closely by LSU, which ranked No. 14 after dominating Lamar Jackson’s Louisville Cardinals in the Citrus Bowl.

Auburn fell five spots from No. 17 to No. 22 after losing the Sugar Bowl to Oklahoma, and Tennessee found its way back into the rankings after a Music City Bowl win against Nebraska.
