While Auburn may have made an appearance in the new AP Top 25, it was LSU that made a surprise reappearance in the Week 6 Amway Coaches Poll.
In spite of a postponed game vs. Florida, the Bayou Bengals jumped back into the No. 25 spot following Week 6. Auburn did not earn a ranking in spite of an impressive win at Mississippi State.
Alabama remained No. 1 after beating Arkansas in Fayetteville. The Razorbacks fell from No. 17 to No. 22 as a result of the loss.
Texas A&M moved up one spot to No. 6 after a double-overtime victory against Tennessee. The Vols dropped two spots from No. 9 to No. 11 as a result of the loss.
It wasn’t just LSU that benefited from the cancellation. The Gators move up from No. 18 to No. 14 in the poll despite not playing on Saturday. Ole Miss also moved up from No. 14 to No. 13 during the Rebels’ bye week.
