AP Poll released: LSU drops to No. 17, Ole Miss back in Top 25
The newest edition of the Associated Press Poll was released Sunday, and four SEC teams were ranked in the Top 25.
As expected, Alabama led the way as the conference’s top ranked team. The Crimson Tide ended up at No. 3 following their dominating 31-6 performance over Mississippi State on Saturday. Alabama now sits at 9-1 with games against Charleston Southern and Auburn remaining on the schedule.
Florida, who topped South Carolina 24-14 Saturday, came in at No. 8 in this week’s Top 25. The Gators now sit at 9-1 on the season, and with the victory, finished undefeated in SEC East play. They will play Florida Atlantic and Florida State before going to Atlanta for the SEC Championship game.
LSU dropped it’s second consecutive game Saturday, falling to Arkansas 31-14. The Tigers dropped from No. 9 to No. 17 in this week’s poll.
Ole Miss (No. 25) re-entered the AP Poll this week after a bye Saturday, while Mississippi State dropped out of the Top 25 following its disappointing performance against Alabama on Saturday.
