Chatter about Week 5 in the SEC was dominated by the drama in Athens between Tennessee and Georgia. Did the outcome of that game shake up the Associated Press Top 25?
As usual, Alabama remained the constant in a crazy conference after beating Kentucky in convincing fashion to retain its top spot in the poll.
Texas A&M continued its climb up the charts, moving from No. 9 to No. 8 following a win at South Carolina.
The Vols moved up to No. 9 in the poll after shocking Georgia in Athens. It was a two-spot bump from last week. Ole Miss moved up two spots to No. 14 after exacting its revenge on Memphis.
Florida held on to beat Vanderbilt in Nashville 13-6, but voters were not deterred. The Gators moved up from No. 23 to No. 18. Arkansas cruised past Alcorn State in Little Rock, earning a four-spot bump from No. 20 to No. 16 this week.
Georgia dropped out of the Top 25 following its heartbreaking loss. The Bulldogs were previously ranked No. 25.
