List season is almost over. (Thank goodness!) But until we reach kickoff, various outlets are still entertaining us with their thoughts on what will be the best/worst of the upcoming fall.
Athlon Sports underwent the task of ranking all 128 college football starting quarterbacks for 2016. The staff there didn’t think too highly of the talent behind center in the SEC.
Only two from the conference made the cut for the top 10, Ole Miss’ Chad Kelly (No. 5) and Tennessee’s Joshua Dobbs (No. 10). The outlet named Clemson’s Deshaun Watson the best in the nation.
Overall, the SEC’s representation near the top shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. Many programs are trying to figure out their situation at quarterback, and others will begin the season with an unknown behind center.
