Whew, what a game. Saturday’s Florida-LSU contest had everything a football fan dreams of: Star players, big plays, trick plays, a tight game and no shortage of excitement.
It was a highly anticipated matchup and did not disappoint. LSU outlasted Florida 35-28 Saturday night in Death Valley to remain undefeated. The Gators suffered their first loss of the season, but put together a commendable effort against the Tigers. The game featured a fake field goal, a ridiculous one-handed catch and several more unbelievable plays.
If you thought you were excited watching the game from your couch, you should see what Twitter had to say. Thankfully, here at SEC Country, we have provided you with some of the best tweets from Saturday’s wild contest.
Check out what the Twittersphere had to say:
It all started with some tailgating before the game. Some pregame parties featured an odd delicacy-Gator. That’s right, several LSU fans posted pictures of them cooking full Gators before the game. It supposedly tastes like chicken.

While several of these plays drew reaction on Twitter, most of the comments came from coach Les Miles’ call to go for the fake field goal.
Also saw the LSU fake field goal from 32,000 feet. Never change, Les Miles. Never ever ever.

McElwain just got baptized. You're not really an SEC coach until Les Miles gets you with a fake field goal.
